Body Bound: watch behind the scenes
Last week saw ABSORB teaming up with original makeup mind Chereine Waddell to produce our latest film project Body Bound. Conceived as a visual pastiche of abstract scenes, it looks at the relation of the body with elements of tension, vulnerability, decay, fragility, disconnection and base humanity. Using different forms of latex (liquid and latex sheeting), we spent two days getting messy and experimental, playing with movement as well as the body becoming a form of sculpture. Our models Maddie and Gemma were amazing, and such good sports about all the pain/latex we put them through! Now into the editing process, the film will be shown as part of Chereine’s graduate work at COFA later in the year, as well as on the Absorb site soon.
